Haiku Checker is designed to work with keyboard navigation, screen readers, touch input, text enlargement, and high-contrast reading conditions.
What we support
The checker uses labeled inputs, live result announcements, visible keyboard focus, semantic headings, and controls large enough for touch. Layouts adapt to narrow screens and browser text enlargement without requiring horizontal scrolling.
Interactive word counts
Each word chip is a button. Keyboard users can focus it and press Enter or Space to change that word's syllable estimate. Count changes are reflected in the live analysis region.
Known limitations
Automated syllable feedback is visual and textual, but it does not synthesize pronunciation audio. Some poetry notation and non-English words may be interpreted imperfectly by the English counting rules.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is part of the editorial and product review process. We prioritize fixes that block the checker, navigation, or reading experience.
